Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition seeks partnership with United Nations Development Program, (UNDP):
On Oct 1st2018, executives of the Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition will meet with the United Nations Developing Program,(UNDP). The meeting will include the ways in which the Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition aims to bring out the best in Israeli agricultural expertise and technology to significantly empower, equip and strengthen agriculture, energy and water technology into achieving economic and social development for the small states of the Caribbean region and in achieving the 2030 target.
The purpose of the meeting is an introduction to the Caribbean Israel Coalition spring 2019 UN Conference to help establish an institutional framework for the United Nations sustainable development goals implementation for the lesser developed islands of the Caribbean and to integrate the UNSDG into a new development for the Caribbean using Israel technology.
The meeting will feature expert-level discussions on how Israeli technology can drive progress on the UNSDGs and the way in which collaborative partnerships among Caribbean governments and stakeholders can accelerate the actions of the SDG into achieving the 2030 Agenda.
The Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition meeting will also map out agenda items in terms of:
Cyber Defense, UNSDG -Goal 11: Make Caribbean cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
Agriculture:UNSDG – Goal 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture for the less developed states of the Caribbean region
Water Technology: UNSDG – Goal 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for Caribbean states
Energy Technology: UNSDG – Goal 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for Caribbean states
Mining:UNSDG – Goal15: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss in the Caribbean region
Import & Export: UNSDG – Goal 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns for Caribbean states
UNSDG – Goal 17: Revitalize global partnership for sustainable development for the Caribbean states.
It is safe to conclude, when the UN and the Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition join in partnership, over time, the current mission to address the sustainable development needs of the region and promote the development of resilience through partnership, best practice, and expertise, can become a reality.
